David Klynsma kicked off his tech journey in 2008 as an IT Manager at a Deadwood casino—because where better to start troubleshooting than a place full of blinking lights, jackpots, and high stakes? By 2010, he wasn’t just handling IT; he was also running the Slot Department like a boss (literally).

In 2012, David leveled up to a corporate role, taking charge of all things tech for a major local hospitality group - Liv Hospitality. He didn’t just keep the servers humming—he built a centralized IT department from scratch. Then in 2014, he went full entrepreneur and launched LinkTech, bringing top-tier IT services to Rapid City and beyond.

By 2017, his leadership and innovation earned him the title of Chief Information Officer at Liv Hospitality. But David didn’t stop there. In 2021, he worked with various shareholders to complete the merger of LinkTech into the Liv Hospitality family—combining forces, streamlining operations, and lighting a fire under the managed services and IT practice that sparked major growth.

Today, LinkTech is one of the leading IT service providers in the Black Hills, and David continues to wear many hats—CIO, founder, strategist, and go-to tech whisperer—for both Liv Hospitality and a growing roster of clients under the LinkTech umbrella.

He holds a BS in Business Administration from Black Hills State University, a pile of IT certifications, and more real-world experience than a data center has blinking lights.

When he’s not steering the tech ship, David’s unplugging with camping trips, fishing adventures, and pixelated throwdowns in retro video games alongside his wife Hayley and their two sons.
